A Rambling

Is there ever a Biblical reason to sue a brother or sister in Christ? No, but I wish there was. You may be wondering who would I like to sue. Let me tell you that it is a long list. It is over nothing petty as in someone sat in my seat at church or that I was not informed of some kind church meeting. It is over being taught error. This is not to take away any personal responsibility on my part, however on somethings you only know what you have been taught.

Now the list.

LifeWay. For putting out less than stellar bible study aides and lessons and for selling heretical books and useless crap in their stores.

Any pastor and church leader that taught me non biblical things. Like the sinner’s prayer. Age segregation. The ends justify the means. For dumbing down their messages for the sake of the goats at the expense of the sheep.

For not teaching who God Is. Just focusing on one attribute of God. Take a guess at what that is.

The list could go on. You can go through my blog and get a general Idea of some other things I would sue over.

My immediate family has been affected by poor instruction. One thing may not be recoverable. I have extended family and dear close friends that are suffering needlessly. Many are hanging on false hope. Many do not want to listen to the Truth of Scripture and cling onto less than adequate teaching. Rely on self help books than Scripture alone. Or rely on faulty traditions. Why do they do this? Because that is the way they been taught. I have been taught those things at one time.

None of us like our toes to be stepped on. We really don’t like it when our beliefs we have are put under the light of Scripture and find they are wrong. We tend to feel stupid and angry and a whole bunch of emotions. I have been there. We have  to learn that we can re-learn things. It’s hard to let go of what has been instilled in us. If it’s wrong, and goes against Scripture drop that way of thinking. Dig deep in the Word, prayerfully.

This quote from John Piper says it all. READ IT. LET IT SINK IN.

Right thinking about what the Bible teaches about God and man and salvation really matters. Bad theology dishonors God and hurts people. Churches that sever the root of truth may flourish for a season, but they will wither eventually or turn into something besides a Christian church. – John Piper
