Suuuure, It’s All About Christ

Time for me to go Bah Humbug on y’all.

It’s Christmas time. Time for Christians to LIE to their children and tell them Santa is coming. Many of those same Christians have a problem Harry Potter and his magic.
For some reason Harry Potter magic is bad, and Santa magic is good. While at the same time employing pagan traditions. Some are putting traditions above Christ.

It’s suppose to be Christ’s birthday, and yet everyone is getting a present except Christ. Not your birthday, and you are getting a gift….

Someone please tell me how focused you are on Christ on Christmas day when you are running all over the place, cooking, cleaning, etc. How focused are you on Christ when you open that present and fire up your new Kindle, ipad, laptop,
Playstation, etc. How focused are you on Christ when you start feeling proud that you got someone something they liked. I don’t care who the small children are or who raised them, they are not focused on Christ, they are focused on toys.
That is if you are doing the traditional Christmas thing. You may get together before the presents are opened, pray, be thankful for Christ, but as soon as your done and they are in the toys and games He is the farthest thing from their minds.

  1. First off I want to say Happy New Year!
I believe Christmas and celebrating Christ birthday is a great benefit for many Christians. At the same time it is not commanded in the Bible to celebrate, so I think we should leave it up to individuals in how they go about celebrating their Christmas. Romans 14:5, “One man considers one day more sacred than another; another man considers every day alike. Each one should be fully convinced in his own mind.” 14:13, “Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another.” I think sometimes Christians can get a little to judgmental on other Christians in their attitudes on Christmas when God gives liberty, because he has not commanded the celebration of it. If kids spend time playing with their toys to the glory of God, then it isn’t necessarily giving God less glory if done in faith.
One thing I have seen is Christians make Christmas like it is commanded by God, and totally ignore the command to obey the Sabbath. One is up to Christian liberty, and the other is Christian duty and with great promise (Isaiah 58:13-14)

    • Happy New Year back at you.
      Hmmm, judging my judging.

I agree it is a great benefit for Christians to celebrate his birth, if they leave it at that that. Should be done daily. Drop all the pagan junk associated with it and I am good.
Let’s look at a couple of things:
      1. We serve a jealous God. Yet we share the day with Santa.
      2. God hates lying and again there is Santa.

Also I guess there is no room for correction out here in the world? Paul told Timothy something totally different.
